{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n ABALON is a long non‐coding RNA that has emerged as a multifaceted regulator in cancer, particularly in lung malignancies. In lung cancer, ABALON functions as a competing endogenous RNA that sequesters microRNAs – notably miR-139-3p – thereby indirectly controlling the expression of downstream targets such as NOB1. Through this mechanism, ABALON contributes to tumorigenesis and has been proposed as a promising biological target for early diagnosis of lung cancer. In parallel, ABALON has been incorporated into immune-related prognostic signatures for lung adenocarcinoma and non–small cell lung cancer, where its dysregulation is associated with poorer patient survival and links to the modulation of tumor microenvironment and autophagy-related gene networks. Moreover, in the context of osteolysis following hip arthroplasty, a coexpression pair involving TAL1 and ABALON suggests that ABALON may also participate in the regulation of osteoclastogenesis. Collectively, these findings highlight the importance of ABALON in cancer biology and its potential utility both as a diagnostic biomarker and as a target for therapeutic intervention."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_fs", "start_ref": "1", "end_ref": "4"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Xinhong Liu, Xin Zuo, Lijun Ma, et al.
