One of the identified senescence‐associated lncRNAs—ADAMTS19‑AS1, an antisense transcript whose expression is higher in proliferating “young” cells but reduced in senescent “old” cells—appears to act as a negative regulator of cellular senescence. Experimental reduction of this lncRNA led to an earlier appearance of senescence‐associated features, including an enlarged cellular morphology, increased β‑galactosidase activity, and elevated p53 levels. These observations support a model in which ADAMTS19‑AS1 contributes to the maintenance of a proliferative state by delaying the onset of senescence, thereby playing a direct regulatory role in this critical cellular process."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Kotb Abdelmohsen, Amaresh Panda, Min-Ju Kang, et al.
