{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n DYNLT4 (also referred to as TCTEX1D4) is a dynein light chain that contributes to several key cellular transport and regulatory functions. Studies in human testis and spermatozoa have demonstrated that DYNLT4 is an intrinsic component of the microtubule-based transport machinery, where it localizes to critical sites such as the flagellum, acrosome, and the microtubule‐organizing center. Its interaction with protein phosphatase 1 (PPP1), mediated by a conserved PPP1 binding motif, suggests that DYNLT4 plays an important role in regulating microtubule dynamics and various phosphorylation‐dependent events. These functions are thought to be important for processes including sperm motility, the acrosome reaction, and the maintenance of the blood–testis barrier. In addition, altered expression levels of DYNLT4 have been implicated as part of a prognostic RNA signature in certain tumors, indicating a potential role in cancer biology. Collectively, these studies underscore DYNLT4’s function in intracellular cargo trafficking and signaling regulation through its integration into dynein motor complexes and its ability to modulate phosphatase activity."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_fs", "start_ref": "1", "end_ref": "3"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Maria João Freitas, Luís Korrodi-Gregório, Filipa Morais-Santos, et al.
