| Name | EIF1AX antisense RNA 1 |
| Summary |
{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n The long noncoding RNA EIF1AX‐AS1 has been shown to function as a tumor suppressor in endometrial carcinoma. In this context, EIF1AX‐AS1 is markedly downregulated in clinical tumor tissues, and its expression is closely associated with tumor type. Functional studies in vitro and in vivo indicate that EIF1AX‐AS1 inhibits cell proliferation and promotes apoptosis. Mechanistic investigations reveal that EIF1AX‐AS1 binds to both EIF1AX mRNA and poly C binding protein 1 (PCBP1), facilitating EIF1AX mRNA degradation. Moreover, through its interaction with the internal ribosome entry site–related protein YBX‐1, EIF1AX enhances the translation of c‐Myc via an internal ribosome entry site pathway. The resulting upregulation of c‐Myc further drives EIF1AX transcription, thereby establishing a feed‐forward loop that perpetuates tumor cell proliferation."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": ""}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n In a separate study examining the transcriptome of late first trimester human placentas, extensive gene expression profiling revealed marked sexual dimorphism and provided insights into the diversity of gene regulation during early development. Although this study did not specifically characterize EIF1AX‐AS1, it reinforces the broader significance of noncoding RNAs in tissue‐specific gene regulation and supports ongoing efforts to identify biomarkers and develop novel therapeutic strategies in various disease contexts."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "2"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Chengyu Lv, Jiandong Sun, Yuhong Ye, et al.
