FAM157B Gene

Name family with sequence similarity 157, member B
Summary
{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n Recent large‐scale proteogenomic studies have vastly expanded our catalog of human proteins and genomic alterations in diverse clinical contexts—including cancer, chromosome structural variation, and transplant pathology (1,2,3,4,5). In one study focusing on urinary proteome profiling of renal transplant recipients, distinct protein expression changes were observed in patients experiencing post‐transplant complications. Among the proteins with altered levels, the putative protein FAM157B was identified in the group with post‐transplant infections, suggesting that it may serve as a candidate biomarker linked to infectious complications after transplantation (6). Although its precise biological function remains to be fully elucidated, the differential detection of FAM157B hints at a possible role in immune or stress responses within the context of allograft infection. Further functional studies are warranted to clarify its molecular mechanism and potential utility in the early, non‐invasive diagnosis of transplant-related infections."}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "b", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Citations:"}]}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_fs", "start_ref": "1", "end_ref": "6"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": ""}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Jung-Mo Ahn, Min-Sik Kim, Yong-In Kim, et al.
