{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n A growing body of work has underscored the importance of RNA‐binding proteins (RBPs) in diverse cellular processes such as RNA metabolism, translation regulation, and epigenetic control (1,2,3,4,5,6). In the context of hepatocellular carcinoma, recent bioinformatics analyses have identified a prognostic gene signature that includes the RBP‐related gene FBLL1 (7). Although its precise molecular function remains to be fully defined, FBLL1 is consistently found to be aberrantly expressed in tumor tissue compared to normal liver and contributes to the predictive performance of models assessing patient survival. In this gene signature, FBLL1 is grouped with other regulators implicated in RNA processing and modification, suggesting that it may participate in post‐transcriptional regulatory mechanisms central to tumor initiation or progression.
