Recent integrative analyses have identified HORMAD2‐AS1 as one of two lncRNAs whose m6A‐based expression profiles can be used to construct a prognostic risk model for LUSC patients (2). In this model, altered HORMAD2‐AS1 expression is associated with differential immune cell infiltration, changes in immune function, and variations in immune checkpoint inhibitor expression, all of which suggest that HORMAD2‐AS1 may play a role in mediating the interaction between m6A regulation and the tumor immune microenvironment.
