| Name | JARID2 antisense RNA 1 |
| Summary |
{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n JARID2 is a critical component of the Polycomb Repressive Complex-2 (PRC2) that recruits the complex to key developmental genes, thereby regulating gene expression during development. An antisense non‐coding RNA, JARID2‐AS1, is transcribed from the first intron of the JARID2 isoform‐1 gene and is predominantly localized in the nucleus. Notably, its expression is inversely correlated with that of the JARID2 mRNA, suggesting that JARID2‐AS1 may function as a negative regulator of JARID2 expression. Data mining further indicates that JARID2‐AS1 binds to PRC2, pointing to a possible role for this antisense RNA in forming an autoregulatory loop that fine‐tunes the levels of JARID2 and, consequently, PRC2 activity. Such a mechanism would be crucial for the regulation of developmental and differentiation processes, although additional studies are required to fully elucidate the molecular details of these interactions."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Diaa Al-Raawi, Aditi Kanhere "}, {"type": "b", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Autoregulation of JARID2 through PRC2 interaction with its antisense ncRNA."}]}, {"type": "t", "text": " "}, {"type": "i", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "BMC Res Notes (2020)"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": " DOI: "}, {"type": "a", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "10.1186/s13104-020-05348-z"}], "href": "https://doi.org/10.1186/s13104-020-05348-z"}, {"type": "t", "text": " PMID: "}, {"type": "a", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "33126912"}], "href": "https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33126912"}]}]}]}
