The increased levels of KCNMA1‐AS1 promote the proliferation and migration of ovarian cancer cells while concurrently inhibiting apoptosis. Mechanistic investigations revealed that knockdown of KCNMA1‐AS1 in EOC cells led to the upregulation of apoptosis-related proteins such as Caspase-3 and Caspase-9 and a reduction in the expression of the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-xL, suggesting that KCNMA1‐AS1 facilitates tumor progression by modulating the apoptotic pathway (1).
