In a study of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), a panel of 19 prognostic lncRNAs was identified, with LANCL1‐AS1 among those implicated in lung cancer–related biological processes (1). In a separate investigation focusing on non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), LANCL1‐AS1 was found to be significantly downregulated in tumor tissues relative to normal counterparts, suggesting its potential involvement in the disease’s epigenetic dysregulation (2). Finally, analysis employing large-scale transcriptomic data from LUAD patients recognized LANCL1‐AS1 as one of the optimal diagnostic lncRNA biomarkers, with its differential expression contributing to highly accurate classification models distinguishing cancerous from normal lung tissues (3).
