{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n LINC00883 is a long intergenic non‐coding RNA whose expression is modulated in primary airway smooth muscle cells in response to external stimuli such as dexamethasone and fetal calf serum. Its altered expression in this in‐vitro model suggests that LINC00883 may act as a competing endogenous RNA by “sponging” specific microRNAs (notably miR‑150, miR‑371‑5p, miR‑940, and miR‑1207‑5p), thereby relieving repression on target mRNAs that are likely involved in the regulation of cell proliferation, actin cytoskeleton dynamics, and other processes important for airway remodeling and inflammation. In turn, such regulatory actions imply a potential role for LINC00883 in the pathogenesis of airway diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. These findings provide a basis for future functional experiments to elucidate the mechanistic links and explore the therapeutic relevance of modulating LINC00883 expression in airway disease contexts."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Mark M Perry, Eleni Tsitsiou, Philip J Austin, et al.
