LINC00993 is expressed at higher levels in luminal breast cancers and is significantly downregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer; moreover, high expression of this transcript is associated with a better prognosis. In addition, its expression levels correlate with those of ANKRD30A—a breast‐specific marker—and the estrogen receptor, suggesting that LINC00993 may be involved in hormone receptor–regulated pathways that contribute to tumor suppression.
