| Name | long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1017 |
| Summary |
{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n A recent replication study of genome‐wide association findings in an elderly cohort (1) identified several gene loci associated with periodontitis‐related traits. Among these, LINC01017 was found to be associated with the percentage of teeth exhibiting a clinical attachment level (CAL) of ≥3 mm, a clinical marker of periodontal tissue destruction. Although the study did not detail the mechanistic function of LINC01017, its genetic association with CAL loss suggests that this long non‐coding RNA may contribute to the regulatory network underlying periodontal disease. The replicated association supports the emerging view that non‐coding RNAs can play important roles in the genetic architecture of complex diseases such as periodontitis."}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": ""}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Teresa Yang, Bin Cheng, James M Noble, et al.
