LINC01096 Gene

Name long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1096
Summary
{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n LINC01096, a long noncoding RNA, is significantly upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) tissues and cell lines, where it functions as an oncogenic factor by enhancing cell viability, migration, and invasion while suppressing apoptosis. Functional assays performed on T47-D and BT-549 cells demonstrated that silencing LINC01096 not only impeded these malignant behaviors but also promoted apoptosis, suggesting its critical role in TNBC progression. Mechanistically, LINC01096 exerts its tumor-promoting effects by sponging microRNA-3130-3p, leading to the downregulation of this miRNA, which in turn is responsible for mediating the aggressive cellular phenotypes associated with TNBC. The inverse relationship between LINC01096 and miR-3130-3p underscores the therapeutic potential of targeting this regulatory axis, as restoring miR-3130-3p levels can counteract the oncogenic processes driven by LINC01096. These findings, coupled with the observation that high LINC01096 expression predicts poor patient outcomes, identify the LINC01096/miR-3130-3p interaction as a promising target for novel TNBC treatments."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "G-P Wang, Z-L Mou, Y-Y Xu, et al.
