LINC01311 Gene

Name long intergenic non-protein coding RNA 1311
Summary
{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n LINC01311 is a long non‐coding RNA that has recently gained attention for its role in modulating neural injury in Alzheimer’s disease models. In a cellular system using SH‐SY5Y cells challenged with beta‐amyloid peptide (Aβ1–42), LINC01311 was found to function as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) by sequestering hsa‐miR‐146a‐5p, thereby influencing key cellular processes including apoptosis, autophagy, proliferation, and the accumulation of amyloid precursor protein. Functional studies demonstrated that when LINC01311 is upregulated and hsa‐miR‐146a‐5p correspondingly downregulated, neural cells are afforded protection against Aβ1–42‐induced injuries; conversely, the overexpression of hsa‐miR‐146a‐5p can reverse this neuroprotective effect. These findings provide a mechanistic insight into the epigenetic regulation of neuronal survival and underscore the potential of the LINC01311/hsa‐miR‐146a‐5p axis as a therapeutic target in Alzheimer’s disease (2,4).\n "}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n Other studies have broadly addressed the role of non‐coding RNA regulatory networks in neural pathologies and RNA turnover, although they do not specifically focus on LINC01311 (1,3). Together, these investigations highlight the emerging importance of lncRNA-mediated ceRNA mechanisms in the pathophysiology of neurodegenerative disorders.\n "}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n
\n
"}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "
\n
"}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "2"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "
\n
"}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "3"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "
\n
"}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "4"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "
\n
"}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Toomas Silla, Manfred Schmid, Yuhui Dou, et al.
