Its aberrant overexpression in NPC tissues and cells is linked to advanced clinical staging and a shorter distant metastasis‐free survival time. Experimentally, increased levels of LINC01376 enhance NPC cell proliferation, invasion, and migration both in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, LINC01376 acts by competitively binding to the transcription factor SP1, thereby reducing SP1’s binding to the promoter region of miR‑4757. This results in decreased levels of both the primary and mature forms of miR‑4757, leading to the derepression of insulin‑like growth factor 1 (IGF1), a known target of miR‑4757 that contributes to tumor progression and metastasis.
