{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\nRecent studies in Epstein–Barr virus (EBV)–associated cancers have identified a novel long non‐coding RNA, now recognized as MIR3936HG (formerly annotated as LOC553103), as a key regulator of tumor progression. In these malignancies, an EBV‐encoded microRNA, EBV‐miR‐BART6‐3p, exerts its tumor‐suppressive effects by specifically targeting and downregulating MIR3936HG. This downregulation reverses the epithelial–mesenchymal transition (EMT) process, thereby inhibiting cancer cell migration and invasion in both nasopharyngeal carcinoma and gastric cancer. Conversely, overexpression of MIR3936HG promotes EMT, which facilitates enhanced migratory and invasive behaviors, suggesting a functional role as an oncogenic factor in these EBV‐associated cancers. Collectively, these insights not only shed light on a novel mechanism of EBV‐mediated carcinogenesis but also highlight MIR3936HG as a potential diagnostic and therapeutic biomarker."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": ""}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Baoyu He, Weiming Li, Yingfen Wu, et al.
