MIR6077 Gene

HGNC Family Non-coding RNAs
Name microRNA 6077
Description microRNAs (miRNAs) are short (20-24 nt) non-coding RNAs that are involved in post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression in multicellular organisms by affecting both the stability and translation of mRNAs. miRNAs are transcribed by RNA polymerase II as part of capped and polyadenylated primary transcripts (pri-miRNAs) that can be either protein-coding or non-coding. The primary transcript is cleaved by the Drosha ribonuclease III enzyme to produce an approximately 70-nt stem-loop precursor miRNA (pre-miRNA), which is further cleaved by the cytoplasmic Dicer ribonuclease to generate the mature miRNA and antisense miRNA star (miRNA*) products. The mature miRNA is incorporated into a RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC), which recognizes target mRNAs through imperfect base pairing with the miRNA and most commonly results in translational inhibition or destabilization of the target mRNA. The RefSeq represents the predicted microRNA stem-loop. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2009]

{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\nMiR-6077 plays a critical role in augmenting the antitumor effects of anlotinib, a novel molecular targeted agent for non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), by suppressing the expression of GLUT1 (glucose transporter 1). Bioinformatic analysis suggested that miR-6077 specifically binds to the 3′-untranslated region of the GLUT1 mRNA, thereby reducing its expression. This downregulation leads to diminished glucose uptake, lactate production, and ATP generation in lung adenocarcinoma cells, highlighting a metabolic reprogramming that may render the cancer cells more vulnerable to anlotinib therapy."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n\n"}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\nExperimental validation in A549 cells and several patient-derived lung adenocarcinoma cell lines confirmed that overexpression of miR-6077 via lentiviral delivery significantly enhances the sensitivity of these cells to anlotinib. This was evidenced by inhibited cell proliferation in vitro and a pronounced antitumor effect in vivo using a subcutaneous tumor model. Together, these findings suggest that miR-6077 not only modulates tumor metabolism but also potentiates the efficacy of anlotinib, providing a promising strategy to improve therapeutic outcomes in advanced NSCLC patients."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n"}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "De-Bin Ma, Meng-Meng Qin, Liang Shi, et al.
