Several studies have demonstrated that lncRNA POU3F3 and its isoforms serve oncogenic functions in multiple malignancies—promoting cell migration, invasion, and proliferation in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma, hepatocellular carcinoma, non‐small cell lung cancer, glioma, colorectal cancer, and renal cell carcinoma ["}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_fs", "start_ref": "1", "end_ref": "4"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "].\n"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n\n"}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\nIn contrast, a novel lncRNA, PANTR1, has been identified in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) as a potent tumor promoter. PANTR1 is significantly upregulated in HCC tumor tissues and cell lines; its knockdown not only inhibits cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and promotes apoptosis in vitro, but also suppresses tumor growth in vivo. Notably, reducing PANTR1 levels attenuates the Warburg effect in HCC cells, indicating its role in metabolic reprogramming. Mechanistic studies reveal that PANTR1 functions as a competitive endogenous RNA by sponging miR-587, thereby downregulating miR-587 and relieving its repression on BCL2A1—a direct miR-587 target—which ultimately promotes HCC progression. These findings highlight PANTR1 as a potential therapeutic target for HCC management ["}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "5"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "].\n"}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Yichun Li, Yannan Li, Dan Wang, et al.
