{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\nSPACA6‐AS1 is a long noncoding antisense RNA that functions as a competing endogenous RNA (ceRNA) by directly interacting with key oncosuppressive microRNAs, notably miR‐125a and let‐7e. Through direct binding, SPACA6‐AS1 exerts a reciprocal inhibitory effect with these miRNAs. Overexpression of SPACA6‐AS1 results in impaired silencing of oncogenic mRNA targets—including genes such as Lin28b, MMP11, SIRT7, Zbtb7a, Cyclin D1, CDC25B, and HMGA2—thereby leading to their upregulation. These molecular events suggest that alterations in SPACA6‐AS1 levels may contribute to hepatocellular carcinoma development by modulating the balance between miRNA suppression and oncogene expression."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "1"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n\n"}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\nIn addition to its role in liver cancer, emerging evidence indicates that SPACA6‐AS1 is also implicated in breast cancer progression. Recent investigations have focused on its expression patterns, correlations with clinico‐pathological features, and prognostic impact. While the functional mechanisms are still being elucidated, SPACA6‐AS1 appears to have significant molecular and immunological implications that may influence breast tumor biology, thereby representing a potential biomarker or therapeutic target in this malignancy."}, {"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_f", "ref": "2"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n"}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Armando Di Palo, Chiara Siniscalchi, Nicola Mosca, et al.
