In particular, FAAP100 directly associates with FANCB and FANCL to form a stable subcomplex that not only stabilizes the overall core complex but also protects its components from proteolytic degradation and ensures proper nuclear localization. This regulatory subcomplex is critical for the efficient monoubiquitination of FANCD2—a central event in the activation of the FA‐BRCA DNA damage response network.
