{"type": "root", "children": [{"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "\n Although none of the provided abstracts explicitly describe “HNRNPCL3,” several studies report on alterations in a closely related gene—heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein C‐like 1 (HNRNPCL1). Members of this hnRNP family are known to bind RNA and are implicated in diverse functions such as pre‐mRNA processing, alternative splicing, transcript stability, and nuclear–cytoplasmic RNA transport. In the studies cited below, recurrent mutations and/or copy number losses affecting HNRNPCL1 were identified by high‐throughput genome‐wide and exome analyses in different contexts, including gynecologic developmental disorders and neurodegenerative disease. These findings suggest that such RNA binding proteins (and by extension, similarly structured factors such as HNRNPCL3, if functionally analogous) may play a role in fine‐tuning post‐transcriptional gene regulation. Disruption of balanced RNA processing by mutations or altered gene dosage could thereby contribute to disease pathogenesis by affecting the expression and splicing patterns of multiple transcripts. Thus, the collective data support a model whereby alterations in heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein family members compromise RNA processing fidelity, impacting cellular homeostasis in sensitive tissues."}]}, {"type": "t", "text": "\n "}, {"type": "p", "children": [{"type": "fg", "children": [{"type": "fg_fs", "start_ref": "1", "end_ref": "3"}]}, {"type": "t", "text": ""}]}, {"type": "rg", "children": [{"type": "r", "ref": 1, "children": [{"type": "t", "text": "Yuan Gao, Xiuping Zhang, Tian Wang, et al.
