DescriptionAnalysis of vastus lateralis muscles of morbidly obese patients before and after gastric bypass surgery. Surgical treatment of severe obesity such as gastric bypass provides the most dramatic reductions in body weight. Results provide insight into the pathogenesis of obesity.
