DescriptionAnalysis of C2C12 myoblasts treated with supraphysiological levels of sodium pyruvate for 72 hours. Pyruvate increases mitochondrial biogenesis in muscle myoblasts. Results provide insight into the impact of altering energy provision on mitochondrial biogenesis in muscle cells.
