TitleHIV encephalitis: brain frontal cortex
DescriptionAnalysis of brain frontal cortex of HIV-seropositive patients with HIV encephalitis (HIVE). HIVE affects >40%% of AIDS patients, promoting neurodegeneration and cognitive impairment. Results suggest HIV-mediated dysregulation of genes involved in neuronal maintenance might play an important role.
