DescriptionAnalysis of -cells harboring a pancreatic-specific deletion of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR)-. The pancreas-specific KO animals developed chronic hyperinsulinemia due to increased beta-cell mass and insulin secretion. Results provide insight into role of PPAR- in pancreas.
