DescriptionAnalysis of kidneys from animals deficient for Claudin16. Mutations in Caludin16 are associated with renal Ca2+ and Mg2+ wasting, nephrocalcinosis and progressive renal insufficiency in humans. Results provide insight into the role of Caludin16 in Ca2+ and Mg2+ homeostasis.
