DescriptionAnalysis of brain microvessels from hypertensive SHR males treated with candesartan, an angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1) antagonist, daily for 4 weeks. Blockade of angiotensin II AT1 receptors in cerebral microvessels protects against brain ischemia and inflammation.
