IGAT Gene

Immune response to synthetic polypeptide--IRGAT

TCIRG1 Gene

T-cell, immune regulator 1, ATPase, H+ transporting, lysosomal V0 subunit A3

This gene encodes a subunit of a large protein complex known as a vacuolar H+-ATPase (V-ATPase). The protein complex acts as a pump to move protons across the membrane. This movement of protons helps regulate the pH of cells and their surrounding environment. V-ATPase dependent organelle acidification is necessary for such intracellular processes as protein sorting, zymogen activation, and receptor-mediated endocytosis. V-ATPase is comprised of a cytosolic V1 domain and a transmembrane V0 domain. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Mutations in this gene are associated with infantile malignant osteopetrosis. [provided by RefSeq, May 2017]

ISCW Gene

Immune suppression to streptococcal antigen

IGLP1 Gene

immune response to synthetic polypeptides 1

IGLP2 Gene

immune response to synthetic polypeptides 2

TCIM Gene

transcriptional and immune response regulator

This gene encodes a small, monomeric, predominantly unstructured protein that functions as a positive regulator of the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway. This protein interacts with a repressor of beta-catenin mediated transcription at nuclear speckles. It is thought to competitively block interactions of the repressor with beta-catenin, resulting in up-regulation of beta-catenin target genes. The encoded protein may also play a role in the NF-kappaB and ERK1/2 signaling pathways. Expression of this gene may play a role in the proliferation of several types of cancer including thyroid cancer, breast cancer and hematological malignancies. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2011]

PKHD1L1 Gene

polycystic kidney and hepatic disease 1 (autosomal recessive)-like 1

Predicted to enable signaling receptor activity. Predicted to be involved in immune response. Predicted to act upstream of or within sensory perception of sound. Predicted to be located in cytosol; extracellular space; and membrane. Implicated in autosomal recessive nonsyndromic deafness. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

HEPACAM Gene

hepatic and glial cell adhesion molecule

The protein encoded by this gene is a single-pass type I membrane protein that localizes to the cytoplasmic side of the cell membrane. The encoded protein acts as a homodimer and is involved in cell motility and cell-matrix interactions. The expression of this gene is downregulated or undetectable in many cancer cell lines, so this may be a tumor suppressor gene. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2011]

SM2 Gene

Hepatic fibrosis susceptibility due to Schistosoma mansoni infection

HLFP1 Gene

hepatic leukemia factor pseudogene 1

HLF Gene

hepatic leukemia factor

This gene encodes a member of the proline and acidic-rich (PAR) protein family, a subset of the bZIP transcription factors. The encoded protein forms homodimers or heterodimers with other PAR family members and binds sequence-specific promoter elements to activate transcription. Chromosomal translocations fusing portions of this gene with the E2A gene cause a subset of childhood B-lineage acute lymphoid leukemias. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

LIPC Gene

lipase, hepatic

Enables phospholipase A1 activity and triacylglycerol lipase activity. Involved in several processes, including cholesterol homeostasis; plasma lipoprotein particle remodeling; and triglyceride catabolic process. Located in extracellular space. Implicated in several diseases, including Alzheimer's disease; coronary artery disease; familial combined hyperlipidemia; peripheral vascular disease; and type 2 diabetes mellitus. Biomarker of hyperinsulinism; obesity; and type 1 diabetes mellitus. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

PKHD1 Gene

polycystic kidney and hepatic disease 1 (autosomal recessive)

The protein encoded by this gene is predicted to have a single transmembrane (TM)-spanning domain and multiple copies of an immunoglobulin-like plexin-transcription-factor domain. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms. Other alternatively spliced transcripts have been described, but the full length sequences have not been determined. Several of these transcripts are predicted to encode truncated products which lack the TM and may be secreted. Mutations in this gene cause autosomal recessive polycystic kidney disease, also known as polycystic kidney and hepatic disease-1. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]
