SNORD123 Gene

small nucleolar RNA, C/D box 123

Predicted to be involved in RNA processing. Predicted to be located in nucleolus. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

RNF123 Gene

ring finger protein 123

The protein encoded by this gene contains a C-terminal RING finger domain, a motif present in a variety of functionally distinct proteins and known to be involved in protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions, and an N-terminal SPRY domain. This protein displays E3 ubiquitin ligase activity toward the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1B which is also known as p27 or KIP1. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. RPL21P123 Gene

ribosomal protein L21 pseudogene 123

C1ORF123 Gene

chromosome 1 open reading frame 123

Enables zinc ion binding activity. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

DEFB123 Gene

defensin, beta 123

Defensins are cysteine-rich cationic polypeptides that are important in the host immunologic response to invading microorganisms. This antimicrobial protein is secreted and is a member of the beta defensin protein family. Beta defensin genes are found in several clusters throughout the genome, with this gene mapping to a cluster at 20q11.1. Two transcript variants, one protein-coding and the other not, have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Nov 2014]

TMEM123 Gene

transmembrane protein 123

This gene encodes a highly glycosylated transmembrane protein with a high content of threonine and serine residues in its extracellular domain, similar to a broadly defined category of proteins termed mucins. Exposure of some cell types to anti-PORIMIN (pro-oncosis receptor inducing membrane injury) antibody, crosslinks this protein on the cell surface and induces a type of cell death termed oncosis. Oncosis is distinct from apoptosis and is characterized by a loss of cell membrane integrity without DNA fragmentation. This gene product is proposed to function as a cell surface receptor that mediates cell death. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

CDC123 Gene

cell division cycle 123

Enables ATP binding activity and magnesium ion binding activity. Involved in eukaryotic translation initiation factor 2 complex assembly. Located in cytoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

ZNF123P Gene

zinc finger protein 123, pseudogene

RNA5SP123 Gene

RNA, 5S ribosomal pseudogene 123
