Name

COMMD1 Gene

copper metabolism (Murr1) domain containing 1

Enables several functions, including phosphatidylinositol-3,4-bisphosphate binding activity; phospholipid binding activity; and protein homodimerization activity. Involved in several processes, including Golgi to plasma membrane transport; negative regulation of protein localization to cell surface; and regulation of protein metabolic process. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of NF-kappaB transcription factor activity. Located in cytosol; endosome; and nucleoplasm. Part of Cul2-RING ubiquitin ligase complex. CHROMR Gene

cholesterol induced regulator of metabolism RNA

AKR7A2 Gene

aldo-keto reductase family 7, member A2 (aflatoxin aldehyde reductase)

The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the aldo/keto reductase (AKR) superfamily and AKR7 family, which are involved in the detoxification of aldehydes and ketones. The AKR7 family consists of 3 genes that are present in a cluster on the p arm of chromosome 1. This protein, thought to be localized in the golgi, catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of succinic semialdehyde to the endogenous neuromodulator, gamma-hydroxybutyrate. It may also function as a detoxication enzyme in the reduction of aflatoxin B1 and 2-carboxybenzaldehyde. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2016]

AKR7A3 Gene

aldo-keto reductase family 7, member A3 (aflatoxin aldehyde reductase)

Aldo-keto reductases, such as AKR7A3, are involved in the detoxification of aldehydes and ketones.[supplied by OMIM, Apr 2004]

LOC159007 Gene

aldo-keto reductase family 7, member A2 (aflatoxin aldehyde reductase) pseudogene
