BRV2 Gene

Vertigo, benign recurrent, 2

PTPN22 Gene

protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type 22 (lymphoid)

This gene encodes of member of the non-receptor class 4 subfamily of the protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. The encoded protein is a lymphoid-specific intracellular phosphatase that associates with the molecular adapter protein CBL and may be involved in regulating CBL function in the T-cell receptor signaling pathway. Mutations in this gene may be associated with a range of autoimmune disorders including Type 1 Diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and Graves' disease. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009]

LRMP Gene

lymphoid-restricted membrane protein

The protein encode dby this gene is expressed in a developmentally regulated manner in lymphoid cell lines and tissues. The protein is localized to the cytoplasmic face of the endoplasmic reticulum. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

MLLT10P1 Gene

LOC645177 Gene

lymphoid-restricted membrane protein-like

MLLT10 Gene

myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila); translocated to, 10

This gene encodes a transcription factor and has been identified as a partner gene involved in several chromosomal rearrangements resulting in various leukemias. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Sep 2010]

MLLT11 Gene

myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila); translocated to, 11

The gene variously symbolized ALL1, HRX, or MLL located on 11q23 has been demonstrated to be fused with a number of translocation partners in cases of leukemia. t(1;11)(q21;q23) translocations that fused the MLL gene to a gene on chromosomal band 1q21 in 2 infants with acute myelomonocytic leukemia have been demonstrated. The N-terminal portion of the MLL gene is critical for leukemogenesis in translocations involving band 11q23. This gene encodes 90 amino acids. It was found to be highly expressed in the thymus but not in peripheral lymphoid tissues. In contrast to its restricted distribution in normal hematopoietic tissue, this gene was expressed in all leukemic cell lines tested. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

HELLS Gene

helicase, lymphoid-specific

This gene encodes a lymphoid-specific helicase. Other helicases function in processes involving DNA strand separation, including replication, repair, recombination, and transcription. This protein is thought to be involved with cellular proliferation and may play a role in leukemogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified. [provided by RefSeq, Jan 2014]

MLLT4 Gene

myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila); translocated to, 4

This gene encodes a multi-domain protein involved in signaling and organization of cell junctions during embryogenesis. It has also been identified as the fusion partner of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL-1) gene, involved in acute myeloid leukemias with t(6;11)(q27;q23) translocation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, however, not all have been fully characterized.[provided by RefSeq, May 2011]

MLLT6 Gene

myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila); translocated to, 6

Enables histone binding activity and nucleosome binding activity. Predicted to be involved in regulation of transcription by RNA polymerase II. Predicted to act upstream of or within several processes, including renal potassium excretion; renal sodium excretion; and renal water absorption. Predicted to be active in nucleus. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

MLLT1 Gene

myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila); translocated to, 1

Predicted to enable chromatin binding activity and lysine-acetylated histone binding activity. Predicted to be involved in positive regulation of DNA-templated transcription. Predicted to act upstream of or within negative regulation of protein kinase activity. Located in cytosol; fibrillar center; and nucleoplasm. Part of transcription elongation factor complex. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

MLLT3 Gene

myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila); translocated to, 3

Enables chromatin binding activity; lysine-acetylated histone binding activity; and molecular adaptor activity. Involved in several processes, including hematopoietic stem cell differentiation; positive regulation of DNA-templated transcription; and regulation of stem cell division. Acts upstream of or within negative regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway and positive regulation of Wnt signaling pathway, planar cell polarity pathway. Located in cytosol and nucleoplasm. Part of transcription elongation factor complex. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

LEF1 Gene

lymphoid enhancer-binding factor 1

This gene encodes a transcription factor belonging to a family of proteins that share homology with the high mobility group protein-1. The protein encoded by this gene can bind to a functionally important site in the T-cell receptor-alpha enhancer, thereby conferring maximal enhancer activity. This transcription factor is involved in the Wnt signaling pathway, and it may function in hair cell differentiation and follicle morphogenesis. Mutations in this gene have been found in somatic sebaceous tumors. This gene has also been linked to other cancers, including androgen-independent prostate cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

CLLU1 Gene

chronic lymphocytic leukemia up-regulated 1

Expression of this gene has been shown to be upregulated in some individuals with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and has been used for prognostic and diagnostic purposes. This gene was originally identified as a human-specific putative protein-coding gene due to the presence of a peptide (PAp00140670, HIIYSTFLSK) that could have supported translation at this locus. This peptide is not present in more recent builds of PeptideAtlas, and the presence of a protein product at this locus has not been independently verified. For this reason, this gene is being represented as non-coding. Sequence comparisons to other primates indicates that no other primate is predicted to contain an open reading frame.
