DRAXINP1 Genedorsal inhibitory axon guidance protein pseudogene 1 |
FAXC Genefailed axon connections homolog (Drosophila) Predicted to be located in membrane. Predicted to be active in cytoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
ROBO2 Generoundabout, axon guidance receptor, homolog 2 (Drosophila) The protein encoded by this gene belongs to the ROBO family, part of the immunoglobulin superfamily of proteins that are highly conserved from fly to human. The encoded protein is a transmembrane receptor for the slit homolog 2 protein and functions in axon guidance and cell migration. Mutations in this gene are associated with vesicoureteral reflux, characterized by the backward flow of urine from the bladder into the ureters or the kidney. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2014] |
ROBO1 Generoundabout, axon guidance receptor, homolog 1 (Drosophila) Bilateral symmetric nervous systems have special midline structures that establish a partition between the two mirror image halves. Some axons project toward and across the midline in response to long-range chemoattractants emanating from the midline. The product of this gene is a member of the immunoglobulin gene superfamily and encodes an integral membrane protein that functions in axon guidance and neuronal precursor cell migration. This receptor is activated by SLIT-family proteins, resulting in a repulsive effect on glioma cell guidance in the developing brain. A related gene is located at an adjacent region on chromosome 3. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Mar 2009] |
ROBO3 Generoundabout, axon guidance receptor, homolog 3 (Drosophila) This gene is a member of the Roundabout (ROBO) gene family that controls neurite outgrowth, growth cone guidance, and axon fasciculation. ROBO proteins are a subfamily of the immunoglobulin transmembrane receptor superfamily. SLIT proteins 1-3, a family of secreted chemorepellants, are ligands for ROBO proteins and SLIT/ROBO interactions regulate myogenesis, leukocyte migration, kidney morphogenesis, angiogenesis, and vasculogenesis in addition to neurogenesis. This gene, ROBO3, has a putative extracellular domain with five immunoglobulin (Ig)-like loops and three fibronectin (Fn) type III motifs, a transmembrane segment, and a cytoplasmic tail with three conserved signaling motifs: CC0, CC2, and CC3 (CC for conserved cytoplasmic). Unlike other ROBO family members, ROBO3 lacks motif CC1. The ROBO3 gene regulates axonal navigation at the ventral midline of the neural tube. In mouse, loss of Robo3 results in a complete failure of commissural axons to cross the midline throughout the spinal cord and the hindbrain. Mutations ROBO3 result in horizontal gaze palsy with progressive scoliosis (HGPPS); an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by congenital absence of horizontal gaze, progressive scoliosis, and failure of the corticospinal and somatosensory axon tracts to cross the midline in the medulla. ROBO4 Generoundabout, axon guidance receptor, homolog 4 (Drosophila) Predicted to enable cell-cell adhesion mediator activity. Involved in establishment of endothelial barrier. Located in extracellular exosome. Implicated in aortic valve disease 3. Biomarker of pre-eclampsia and thyroid gland carcinoma. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
DRAXIN Genedorsal inhibitory axon guidance protein Enables molecular adaptor activity. Predicted to be involved in negative regulation of canonical Wnt signaling pathway and nervous system development. Predicted to act upstream of or within negative regulation of axon extension and negative regulation of hippocampal neuron apoptotic process. Predicted to be active in extracellular region.
