SYAP1 Genesynapse associated protein 1 Involved in several processes, including TORC2 signaling; cellular response to epidermal growth factor stimulus; and cellular response to peptide hormone stimulus. Located in several cellular components, including Golgi apparatus; cytoplasmic side of plasma membrane; and nucleoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
SYNDIG1 Genesynapse differentiation inducing 1 This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the interferon-induced transmembrane family of proteins. A similar protein in rat is thought to regulate the development of excitatory synapses. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2013] |
SYNDIG1L Genesynapse differentiation inducing 1-like Predicted to be located in Golgi apparatus. Predicted to be active in intracellular membrane-bounded organelle and membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
RAPSN Genereceptor-associated protein of the synapse This gene encodes a member of a family of proteins that are receptor associated proteins of the synapse. The encoded protein contains a conserved cAMP-dependent protein kinase phosphorylation site, and plays a critical role in clustering and anchoring nicotinic acetylcholine receptors at synaptic sites by linking the receptors to the underlying postsynaptic cytoskeleton, possibly by direct association with actin or spectrin. Mutations in this gene may play a role in postsynaptic congenital myasthenic syndromes. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2011] |
SYDE2 Genesynapse defective 1, Rho GTPase, homolog 2 (C. elegans) Predicted to enable GTPase activator activity. Acts upstream of or within cell migration. Predicted to be located in cytosol. Predicted to be active in synaptic membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
SYDE1 Genesynapse defective 1, Rho GTPase, homolog 1 (C. elegans) The protein encoded by this gene is a Rho GTPase-activating protein highly expressed in placenta. The encoded protein is involved in cytoskeletal remodeling and trophoblast cell migration. Decreased expression of this gene has been associated with intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR).
