Name

ECSIT Gene

ECSIT signalling integrator

Enables molecular adaptor activity. Involved in regulation of oxidoreductase activity; regulation of protein complex stability; and toll-like receptor 4 signaling pathway. Located in cytosol; mitochondrion; and nucleoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

TBXA2R Gene

thromboxane A2 receptor

This gene encodes a member of the G protein-coupled receptor family. The protein interacts with thromboxane A2 to induce platelet aggregation and regulate hemostasis. A mutation in this gene results in a bleeding disorder. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Oct 2009]

TBXA1R Gene

thromboxane A1 receptor

TBXAS1 Gene

thromboxane A synthase 1 (platelet)

This gene encodes a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily of enzymes. The cytochrome P450 proteins are monooxygenases which catalyze many reactions involved in drug metabolism and synthesis of cholesterol, steroids and other lipids. However, this protein is considered a member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily on the basis of sequence similarity rather than functional similarity. This endoplasmic reticulum membrane protein catalyzes the conversion of prostglandin H2 to thromboxane A2, a potent vasoconstrictor and inducer of platelet aggregation. The enzyme plays a role in several pathophysiological processes including hemostasis, cardiovascular disease, and stroke. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Aug 2008]

VTI1BP1 Gene

vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1B pseudogene 1

VTI1BP2 Gene

vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1B pseudogene 2

VTI1A Gene

vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1A

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the family of soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive fusion protein-attachment protein receptors (SNAREs) that function in intracellular trafficking. This family member is involved in vesicular transport between endosomes and the trans-Golgi network. It is a vesicle-associated SNARE (v-SNARE) that interacts with target membrane SNAREs (t-SNAREs). Polymorphisms in this gene have been associated with binocular function, and also with susceptibility to colorectal and lung cancers. A recurrent rearrangement has been found between this gene and the transcription factor 7-like 2 (TCF7L2) gene in colorectal cancers. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2015]

VTI1B Gene

vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1B

Enables SNARE binding activity and chloride channel inhibitor activity. Involved in regulation of protein localization to plasma membrane. Located in several cellular components, including endosome membrane; lysosomal membrane; and perinuclear region of cytoplasm. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

VTI1BP4 Gene

vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1B pseudogene 4

VTI1BP3 Gene

vesicle transport through interaction with t-SNAREs 1B pseudogene 3
