LAMTOR3P1 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 3 pseudogene 1 |
LAMTOR3P2 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 3 pseudogene 2 |
LAMTOR4 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 4 Contributes to guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity and molecular adaptor activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to amino acid stimulus; positive regulation of TORC1 signaling; and protein localization to lysosome. Located in lysosome. Part of FNIP-folliculin RagC/D GAP and Ragulator complex. Is active in lysosomal membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
LAMTOR5 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 5 This gene encodes a protein that specifically complexes with the C-terminus of hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx). The function of this protein is to negatively regulate HBx activity and thus to alter the replication life cycle of the virus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
LAMTOR1 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 1 Enables GTPase binding activity and protein-membrane adaptor activity. Contributes to guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity and molecular adaptor activity. Involved in several processes, including cholesterol homeostasis; positive regulation of TORC1 signaling; and regulation of cholesterol transport. Located in lysosome. Part of FNIP-folliculin RagC/D GAP. Is active in Ragulator complex and lysosomal membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
LAMTOR2 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 2 The product of this gene is highly conserved with a mouse protein associated with the cytoplasmic face of late endosomes and lysosomes. The mouse protein interacts with MAPK scaffold protein 1, a component of the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. In humans, a mutation in this gene has been associated with a primary immunodeficiency syndrome, and suggests a role for this protein in endosomal biogenesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009] |
LAMTOR3 Genelate endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 3 This gene encodes a scaffold protein that functions in the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) cascade. The protein is localized to late endosomes by the mitogen-activated protein-binding protein-interacting protein, and binds specifically to MAP kinase kinase MAP2K1/MEK1, MAP kinase MAPK3/ERK1, and MAP kinase MAPK1/ERK2. Studies of the orthologous gene in mouse indicate that it regulates late endosomal traffic and cell proliferation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 13. VPS35L GeneVPS35 endosomal protein sorting factor like Involved in Golgi to plasma membrane transport and endocytic recycling. Located in endosome. Implicated in Ritscher-Schinzel syndrome. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
VPS26C GeneVPS26 endosomal protein sorting factor C The region of chromosome 21 between genes CBR and ERG (CBR-ERG region), which spans 2.5 Mb on 21q22.2, has been defined by analysis of patients with partial trisomy 21. It contributes significantly to the pathogenesis of many characteristics of Down syndrome, including morphological features, hypotonia, and cognitive disability. The DSCR3 (Down syndrome critical region gene 3) gene is found in this region and is predictated to contain eight exons. DSCR3 is expressed in most tissues examined. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008] |
ENTREP1 Geneendosomal transmembrane epsin interactor 1 Enables ubiquitin ligase activator activity. Involved in CXCL12-activated CXCR4 signaling pathway and negative adaptation of signaling pathway. Located in endosome membrane and plasma membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
ENTREP3 Geneendosomal transmembrane epsin interactor 3 This gene is located near the gene for the lysosomal enzyme glucosylceramidase; a deficiency in this enzyme is associated with Gaucher disease. The encoded protein has been identified as a potential binding partner of a WW domain-containing protein which is involved in apoptosis and tumor suppression. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010] |
ENTREP2 Geneendosomal transmembrane epsin interactor 2 Predicted to be located in membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025] |
FERRY3 GeneFERRY endosomal RAB5 effector complex subunit 3 This gene is highly conserved from nematodes to humans. In rat, the orthologous gene encodes a cytoplasmic protein that is involved in mast cell degranulation. The human gene has been implicated in autosomal recessive intellectual disability.
