INE2 Gene

inactivation escape 2 (non-protein coding)

INE1 Gene

inactivation escape 1 (non-protein coding)

X chromosome inactivation provides dosage compensation for the expression level of X-linked genes from the single X in males and the two in females. This X chromosome gene is intronless and was identified because its transcription escapes X inactivation in females. This gene does not make a protein.[provided by RefSeq, May 2010]

SXI2 Gene

X inactivation, familial skewed, 2

XIC Gene

X chromosome inactivation center

LAMTOR3P1 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 3 pseudogene 1

LAMTOR3P2 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 3 pseudogene 2

LAMTOR4 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 4

Contributes to guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity and molecular adaptor activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to amino acid stimulus; positive regulation of TORC1 signaling; and protein localization to lysosome. Located in lysosome. Part of FNIP-folliculin RagC/D GAP and Ragulator complex. Is active in lysosomal membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

LAMTOR5 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 5

This gene encodes a protein that specifically complexes with the C-terminus of hepatitis B virus X protein (HBx). The function of this protein is to negatively regulate HBx activity and thus to alter the replication life cycle of the virus. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]

LAMTOR1 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 1

Enables GTPase binding activity and protein-membrane adaptor activity. Contributes to guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity and molecular adaptor activity. Involved in several processes, including cholesterol homeostasis; positive regulation of TORC1 signaling; and regulation of cholesterol transport. Located in lysosome. Part of FNIP-folliculin RagC/D GAP. Is active in Ragulator complex and lysosomal membrane. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

LAMTOR2 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 2

The product of this gene is highly conserved with a mouse protein associated with the cytoplasmic face of late endosomes and lysosomes. The mouse protein interacts with MAPK scaffold protein 1, a component of the mitogen-activated protein kinase pathway. In humans, a mutation in this gene has been associated with a primary immunodeficiency syndrome, and suggests a role for this protein in endosomal biogenesis. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Feb 2009]

LAMTOR3 Gene

late endosomal/lysosomal adaptor, MAPK and MTOR activator 3

This gene encodes a scaffold protein that functions in the extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) cascade. The protein is localized to late endosomes by the mitogen-activated protein-binding protein-interacting protein, and binds specifically to MAP kinase kinase MAP2K1/MEK1, MAP kinase MAPK3/ERK1, and MAP kinase MAPK1/ERK2. Studies of the orthologous gene in mouse indicate that it regulates late endosomal traffic and cell proliferation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding multiple isoforms have been observed for this gene. A pseudogene of this gene is located on the long arm of chromosome 13. Located in cytoplasmic stress granule and nucleus. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]

MCRIP1 Gene

MAPK regulated corepressor interacting protein 1

Involved in regulation of epithelial to mesenchymal transition. Located in cytoplasmic stress granule and nucleus. [provided by Alliance of Genome Resources, Mar 2025]
